UNIT 10: Population

OBJECTIVES:

1. To define absolute population, natural increase, population density and migration.
2. To distinguish between the urban and rural populations.
3. To understand why the population is not evenly distributed.
4. To classify the population into groups according to gender and age.
5. To identify the basic reasons for migration.
6. To learn the different types of migration.
7. To identify the basic characteristic of the Spanish population.
8. To interpret photos, maps, diagrams and graphs.
9. To appreciate the cultural diversity provided by people from other places.

UNIT 9: Rivers, climate and vegetation

OBJECTIVES:

1. To define "river" and distinguish three of its elements.
2. To learn the different forms of water found on the Earth's surface.
3. To identify the main rivers in the students' Autonomous Community and their characteristics.
4. To explain the difference between climate and weather.
5. To identify the world's climatic zones.
6. To describe the types of climates of Spain.
7. To learn about the climate, vegetation and fauna in the student´s Autonomous Community.
8. To reflect on excessive or irresponsible consumption of water.

8 DE MARZO,DIA INTERNACIONAL DE LA MUJER TRABAJADORA.

Cada 8 de Marzo se conmemora el Día Internacional de la Mujer Trabajadora.
Esto nace en respuesta a la lucha que han  mantenido las mujeres de todo el mundo, durante siglos, por conseguir la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres.
Para conocer más sobre el origen de esta celebración os propongo que realizemos esta caza del tesoro. Para ello pincha en la imagen.

4. To identify landscapes in different Autonomous Communities.
5. To define the term "coast".
6. To distinguish the different types of coasts and coastal landforms.
7. To learn the characteristics of the coasts of Spain.
8. To obtain and interpret geographical information from relief maps, drawings and photos.
9. To recognise the need to preserve the environment.
